Eoghan McDermott has been replaced by Stephen Mullan as narrator on the popular reality TV show. This comes following his departure from RTÉ 2fm and as host of Junior Eurovision. Sophie Monk returns as host with comedian Stephen Mullan taking over from Eoghan McDermott. Love Island Australia is an ITV production for Channel 9, it will air later in the year in Ireland on Virgin Media TWO.

Louise Cantillon is the new face of Junior Eurovision in Ireland. The series was hosted by former RTÉ 2FM DJ Eoghan McDermott from 2015 until 2019. This marks the return of Ireland to the competition following a decision to withdraw in 2020 due to COVID restrictions. Adare Productions continue as producer of the show. Ireland has been represented at the competition since 2015, when Aimee Banks represented Ireland with Réalta na Mara, Ireland\'s last entry was in 2019 with Anna Kearney\'s Banshee.
